Enjoy our look at the Elygo / Esimen Lens Protector and Blue Light Filter for Oculus Quest 2. You can buy this strap from Amazon US and Amazon UK.

In this video, we briefly look over what you get with the Elygo Lens Protectors, then we look at how well it is to install on your Quest 2 headset, then finally I give you my first impressions of them and if they are worth buying.

These Lens Protectors are for people who want to protect their Quest 2 lenses from being scratched from glasses to inserting your own pair of prescription lenses, and finally for anyone who wishes to have a physical anti-blue light filter solution for their Quest 2.

Each lens cover clips in place around the original Quest lenses. They can fit both Quest 1, Quest 2, Rift S, and Oculus Go headset lenses. They have two small yet powerful magnets on the clip-on rings, which can be used to attach either the blue light filter lenses or covers that can contain prescription lenses for anyone wishing to play their Quest without wearing their glasses.

The benefit of the magnetized clip-on rings is that you can easily remove the blue filter or lenses from the Quest without removing the base clipping mount. This allows you to share the headset with non-glasses wearers by simply removing them and handing over your headset, and when it is your turn you can reinsert the lenses or filters super quick and without fuss.

If you don’t wear glasses you can wear these to protect your lenses from anyone who does wear glasses, or you can use the blue light filter to help you reduce eye strain and allow you to sleep better at night if you play on your Quest so close to heading to bed.

Its low cost of £18 or $20 US is not a bad price to give you comfort over replacing lenses when sharing or having the option to reduce blue light without going through the menus for the built-in software solution on the Quest. There will be the added cost of buying prescription lenses that fit in the frames, but I am sure that’s more convenient than having to remember to wear glasses each time and allow you to fit other accessories on your Quest that would otherwise be limited to ones that work with the glasses spacer.

You can buy these lenses from Amazon US and Amazon UK.
