Well, that didn’t take long, did it?
It has been reported that the Oculus Quest has just broken through the 100 apps and games barrier! This is a fantastic achievement for a platform with just a few months under its belt.
With a mix of free and paid games and apps, the Oculus Quest has managed to reach 100 all before its third month since launch. This is quite a success considering how Oculus is already restricting content on the store, but with a high hardware adoption, developers as now considering the standalone headset as a key platform for their titles.
This migration of app and game development on the Quest is being boosted with news released from a few current Quest developers who report news of them smashing their own sales records on the platform, over their previous sales on the Rift.
We are incredibly humbled by the amazing response Red Matter is getting! We have surpassed Red Matter’s all time sales on Rift in just a few days on Oculus Quest. Thank you all!! @OculusGaming @oculus #VRisntDead pic.twitter.com/GIE0NWYKc0

So with this kind of drive for the VR platform, and available hardware units still as rare as chocolate teapots, we will certainly be seeing increased support for the Oculus Quest, whilst games under development, that may not have originally been considered for the Quest, are now becoming a key platform for its release.
The Oculus Quest released with 50 titles and they have previously stated that they want over 100 games available on the Quest by the end of the year, and whilst this achievement includes apps, I have no doubt, that consistent game releases each week, we will certainly surpass this goal way before we bring in the new year.
