Officially announced earlier this year alongside the announcement of Oculus Link, the Oculus Link cable didn’t quite make the same release window as the Oculus Link beta. This has left owners with a capable PCVR machine to default to either a recommended Oculus Link USB-A to USB-C cable from Anker or a suitable equivalent cable.
Oculus has now opened the gates to ordering their official $79 fibre-optic Oculus Link cable in the USA, Canada and pretty much everywhere else other than the UK and Europe, which remains as ‘Coming Soon’.
Surprisingly, this cable hasn’t been given to any influencers to try out its quality or be able to compare it to the more cheaper cables available for Oculus Link. So if you are thinking of buying, maybe wait until this cable reaches their hands before plunging $80 into a cable you may not even need.
