PAX East saw Oculus invite a number of key press and VR influencers to the event to bring their impressions on the standalone VR headset through their own channels.
Mike from VR Oasis brings us his opinions of the Oculus Quest VR headset with a thorough 3-hour hands-on with the device at the show. Mike looks at the audio, comfort, optics and resolution of the display, tracking and controllers, battery life, build quality the app and a comparison against PC-based VR headsets. Mike’s feedback is reassuring that the Oculus Quest will be a great standalone headset. Being a version 1.0 of the headset, there is no doubt that any of the niggles mentioned will be ironed out in a future headset, but for now, the Quest is going to be a ton of fun.
