The lucky guys at UploadVR managed to get their eyes on the first 11 minutes of the upcoming, potentially launch title, Apex Construct.
They played the first level of the game on the Quest and below is a direct capture of what it looks like.
To me, the game is looking great, with the more obvious omissions being lighting (notice less shadow detail), detail in textures (notch the grass and rock textures) and some visual effects (no lift particles, hit effects are dumbed down) when you compare it to the PC version below.
The game has also had some, let’s say, more forgiving changes to its world objects. Such as the keyboard features a number only layout rather than a full keyboard.
Otherwise, everything else seems pretty much there. I’ve not played Apex myself, so I am looking forward to playing it for the first time, tether-free, when it releases on the Oculus Quest, either at launch or later this year.
