In this video, I bring you an old mod I had done back in October 2022, where I combined the BoboVR M2 Pro Halo Strap with the Kiwi design audio strap headphones to make a very comfortable and great-sounding halo strap without the need for any additional power for the headphones.
If you’re thinking of doing this mod, you can currently buy the Kiwi design audio for $72 with coupon directly ➡️ which works out a little cheaper than BoboVR’s new A1 headphones at $69.99 ➡️ https://amzn.to/3XItt3c. The BOBOVR M2 Pro retails for $59.99 from Amazon US ➡️ https://amzn.to/3JkQa9b.
The 3.5mm 90-degree angled audio adapter worked very well with this setup and you can find out more about the adapter here ➡️ https://amzn.to/3JkcKyE US, and here https://amzn.to/408O5TN UK.
This has worked out a great mod without any extra parts. I thought it would need a 3D printed part, but the headphones can be used with the strap without any problems apart from rotating with the rear part of the strap.
It’s a super comfortable mod if you like the halo strap. The BOBOVR M2 Pro has great head support and comfort, whilst the soft ear cushioning of the headphones from Kiwi design really makes the whole feel of the strap very comfortable to wear, and the best thing is, these headphones do not need charging and can be directly connected to the 3.5mm port with great audio quality and sound levels.
