Oculus Quest in November 2020

November has passed us by like a fallen autumn leaf in the wind and we’re already counting the days until we’re panic buying presents and planning our lockdown bubbles for the holiday season.

November saw the stock of Oculus Quest 2 accessories continue to get affected due to the issues with their Elite Headstrap in October. Ordering these official straps continue to be put on ice, with its official site prompting buyers to be notified of when the updated strap returns back in stock. For now, you can explore many alternatives and grab a cheap Halo Strap for your Quest 2 instead. Check out our review of the Halo Strap and what we thought about it.

VR Cover finally released its new face cover kit for the Quest 2, along with new cotton covers and silicone cover for the Quest 2. Click on the links to find out our reviews for the cotton cover, and the silicon cover.

Check our Oculus Move gameplay in our YouTube Channel.

Quest update v23 also released in November for the Quest and Quest 2 headsets, bringing official support for 90Hz in supported games and Oculus Link also received a Beta update to support this new 90Hz mode. People using Virtual Desktop can continue to run their Sideloaded version with its 90Hz support. Now, there is talk of 120Hz being supported in the future!

Alongside the update Oculus release support for casting over your web browser. Oculus Move also rolled out to select users, and we were lucky enough to be on this list. You can check out our impressions of Oculus Move in a video here.

Speaking of our YouTube Channel, I am happy to report we smashed through 500 subscribers during this month of November, which may seem small to the bigger VR YouTubers out there, but it’s a great milestone for me. I appreciate all the great comments that you have sent in on the Channel. I hope to continue to bring fresh new accessory and gameplay content to the channel when I am able to. If you’ve not yet subscribed, please do, as it will really help the Channel grow stronger and give me the opportunity to bring you more unique VR content.

Quest Game Releases in November

Games wise, November has been a terrible month for new releases. It is lucky that new owners to VR and the Quest 2 has a past library of releases to tie them over. However, a month after its release you would have thought Oculus would’ve continued to roll out a steady stream of new releases, instead, we have four releases, four…

At least the next Star Wars release filled this void, but gamers had to wait almost the entire month of no major releases before Star Wars: Tails from the Galaxy’s Edge arrived fashionably late on the Quest. The game is said to be an improvement to the first series, however, as it features more shooter than sabre combat, it’s said to be a little lacking when compared to more established shoots that are out there for the Quest. It’s bigger price tag makes this lacklustre franchise cash-cow of a game harder to swallow, considering it’s also going to be series based.

Let’s hope Oculus bring out more heavy hitters for its Quest library because not everyone is playing Population: One on their Quest headsets 馃槈
